Trivia : Monica was Chitra Singh’s daughter from her first marriage to Debo Prasad Dutta.

Monica Choudhary committed suicide by hanging herself to death at her home in Mumbai.on May 29, 2009.
Monica married Cinematographer Jehangir Choudhary in 1988.
In 2005, she divorced him and married Briton Mark Houghton Roger Atkins, Managing Director of a Vikhroli based firm.
However, she was second time unlucky in marriage, and thus, suffered from depression due to her disturbed married life.

This is Vivek Singh Lane, on Breach Candy in Mumbai.
This lane is dedicated to Jagjit Singh’s son Vivek, who died in a car accident in early 1990’s.

  1. It is impossible to forget the unique and golden voice of the great Jagjit Singh.I get immense peace and solace in hearing his Gajals and songs.I feel lucky to see him performing live at Sisr Fort stadium and those memories will ever remain fresh in memory.

  11. One of our friends went to Karachi and asked for a CD of the best ghazal singer in Pakistan.
    They said ‘ Are you from India,Sir? Here in Pakistan we think Jagjit Singh is the best.’
    It really made me so proud to hear this story. The undisputed King of Ghazal……who else, but Jagjit Singh.💐🙏

  12. The uncrowned Ghazal King of India. His songs give solace and peace to all. Let his live concert DVDs be once again made available for the general public. His live concert – Life Story performed at Mumbai is not available. His family members may take steps to make available DVDs of all his live concerts.
